The project ready4health is a spin-off resulting from cooperation between the Allgemeine Unfallversicherungsanstalt (AUVA, Austrian workplace safety insurance) and the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland. It provides companies with the framework that enables them to viably respect the latest mandatory employee protection directives. The comprehensive corporate health & safety management initiative offers supplementary measures aimed at the reduction of psychological stress.
Over the course of the next two years the project concentrates on the acceptance and efficiency of the stress reduction measures implemented in order to meet the legal requirement for impact assessment and practical relevance (ArbeitnehmerInnenschutzgesetz (AschG) §4; Bundesbedienstetenschutzgesetz (B-BSG) §4). The analysis of structural aspects (e.g. leadership style) looks at criteria that impact the efficiency of any measures implemented.
In addition to that an index-based evaluation chart should be developed to allow representing the efficiency of measures implemented to reduce psychological stress in the form of a ROI, return on investment. Special emphasis is put on the collaborative organizational climate, as interpersonal relations have been researched and proven to have a major impact on health issues.
The project is scheduled to run from June 2015 to June 2017.
